About Dev

Dev earned his law degree in 2004 from Hofstra University School of Law.  He served as an associate editor of the Law Review, which consists of students ranking high in their class and demonstrating exceptional writing skills.  Dev similarly earned high honors as an undergraduate student at Hofstra University, graduating cum laude and being inducted to Phi Beta Kappa, which is the most prestigious and oldest honor society in the country.

Dev began his legal career at Shearman and Sterling LLP, an international law firm recognized by The American Lawyer at the time of his start there as one of “the best law firms in the land.”  To expose himself to several different areas of the law, Dev joined Shearman’s litigation department, where he worked on Complex Commercial Litigation, Securities Litigation, Investigations by the United States Securities and Exchange Commission, Mergers and Acquisitions Litigation, and Trademarks Litigation.

Dev co-authored “Revisiting Initial Interest Confusion”, which was published in the Trademark Reporter -- the official publication of the International Trademark Association.  He was listed by ALM Media Research as one of the attorneys working on one of the year’s “Big Deals and Suits” for his work in Shearman’s universal settlement valued at approximately One Billion Dollars ($1,000,000,000) of several different actions in the U.S. and abroad arising out of an international company’s financial reporting.  He has also been recognized by the New York State Bar Association as Empire State Counsel.

Dev’s experience at Shearman provided him with a bird’s eye view of successful business operations and risk management.  His clients appreciate his ability to understand the business, legal, and personal needs of each client and to develop a strategy to maximize their unique business and personal needs while managing their legal obligations.
